The trailers we’ve seen thus far from RED director Robert Schwentke ‘buddy’ action comedy R.I.P.D., (based on the Dark Horse graphic novel series by Peter M. Lenkov)., have been pretty fun. The plot is centred on an otherworldly, supernatural police force who investigate the cases in the world they have now left behind. Ryan Reynolds takes the lead role of a recently murdered cop Nick Walker, who joins the team of undead police officers, and is soon partnered with Jeff Bridges’ Old West Sheriff Roy Pulsipher.
Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak and Robert Knepper co-star in the MEN IN BLACK-esque fantasy film set for US cinemas from 19th July and the UK from the 20th September. Check out these first three clips.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
