CITADEL focuses on rising star Aneurin Barnard as Tommy Cowley, a man who lives a quiet life in a decaying apartment complex with his pregnant wife. When the couple are attacked one day by a group of hooded young thugs, Tommy is left to raise his newborn daughter alone.
The crazed events cause Tommy to developed agoraphobia but when the same hooded gang try to kidnap his daughter, he’s torn between his paralyzing fear and protective parental instinct. It won the Midnighter Audience Award at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival and CITADEL is directed by Ciaran Foy, it’s gathering pace on the various film festival circuits but also opens in UK cinemas on July 12th.
