Marvel fans rejoice as sequels to THOR, CAPTAIN AMERICA and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN will be featured at the upcoming Comic-Con in San Diego (which, as we know, means “a whale’s vagina”).

Disney have announced that they will hold panels for THOR: THE DARK WORLD and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER on Saturday 20th July, while Columbia will be getting their panel on with fellow (or rival?) superhero feature, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. And that’s not all, as Columbia will also be presenting CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 and their controversial reboot of a certain robotic law enforcement officer.

Talent on hand for ROBOCOP include director José Padilha and stars Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish and Samuel L. Jackson.

The panel for CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 will feature directors Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn with stars Anna Faris and Terry Crews.

As for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, we can expect director Marc Webb with stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan. Producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will also be fielding questions, but fanboys/girls will have to make do without the supremely popular Emma Stone. If the rumours are true, she may not be around for Spidey’s third outing either…

Disney/Marvel are as tight lipped as always when it comes to the talent on their panels. But we can expect Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christopher Eccleston and director Alan Taylor for THOR. Tom Hiddleston is always great value for money, but boy is he in demand. For CAP, it’s likely to be co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo, Chris Evans, maybe Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L Jackson if we’re lucky. Producer and Marvel bigwig Kevin Feige will certainly be there.

Speaking of THOR: THE DARK WORLD, we have a new still featuring Portman’s Jane Foster looking a little perturbed and fellow returnee Rene Russo as Frigga; Loki and Thor’s step-mother. With sword in hand and a ‘Do what, mate??’ expression, here’s hoping Russo will have more to do in the sequel.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD electrifies cinemas on 30th October in the UK and 8th November in the USA.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER returns to cinemas 4th April 2014 in the UK and USA.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 swings into cinemas 18th April 2014 in the UK and 2nd May in the USA.

ROBOCOP will be resurrected into multiplexes 7th February in the UK and the USA. Whether you like it or not.

CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 will… er… be served into cinemas 25th October in the UK and 27th September in the USA.
