Casting announcements have been made today for upcoming drama comedy WALTER, which tells the tale of a young man who believes he is the son of God and therefore the destiny of everyone he meets is in his hands! William H Macy, Virginia Madsen (THE EVENT), Peter Facinelli (TWILIGHT), Andrew J West (Greek) and Justin Kirk (Weeds) have joined the cast that already includes Neve Campbell, Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls) and Leven Rambin (THE HUNGER GAMES). ‘Walter Gary Benjamin works as a ticket-taker slash ticket-tearer at the local Cineplex. When Walter was ten years old he made a deal with God to judge the eternal fate of everyone he comes in contact with in exchange for his father going to Heaven. Walter manages his daily routine and his worrisome mother until the mysterious Greg shows up and forces Walter to confront the meaning of his life, and his future’.
The film is based on a short story written by screen-writer Paul Schoulberg. Taking the helm is first-time director Anna Mastro. Filming is currently ongoing in Indiana and LA but no release date has been announced as of yet.
