We’ve a host of brand new stills from supernatural blockbusting crime caper R.I.P.D. (an acronym for the Rest In Peace Department). RED director Robert Schwentke’s adaptation of the Dark Horse graphic novel by Peter M. Lenkov stars Ryan Reynolds as a recently slain cop, Nick Walker, who joins a team of undead police officers in the afterlife. His new partner is Jeff Bridges’ Old West gunslinging Sheriff Roy Pulsipher, who aides Nick in solving his own murder, while juggling their MEN IN BLACK-style duties in keeping the devious souls from crossing back over into the real world.
Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak and Robert Knepper co-star in the fun-looking fantasy film set for US cinemas from 19th July and the UK from the 20th September.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
