It’s been seven years since acclaimed GHOST WORLD and BAD SANTA director Terry Zwigoff’s last film, ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL. The filmmaker’s efforts usually find their own unique cult following and now we have word Nicolas Cage is set to star in Zwigoff’s upcoming offbeat comedy drama, LOST MELODY. Cage is expected to take the role of a man who’s trapped in a loveless marriage to a bitter and angry women but falls in love with the local prostitute.

We unsure is this will shoot or be released before Zwigoff’s recently announced untitled project featuring SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE alumni Fred Armisen but knowing they’re two projects on the horizon from the BAD SANTA helmer is exciting in itself. We’ll keep you posted as the film comes together.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
