We all love a bit of filth. don’t we? Well, thankfully it’s not churchgoing Sunday so we can still showcase the first clip from controversial director Lars Von Trier’s upcoming two-part dirty drama, which revolves around Charlotte Gainsbourg’s naughty NYMPHOMANIAC, Joe. Her self-diagnosed sex addict recounts her traumatic life story to Stellan Skarsgard, when he finds the beauty beaten in a back alley (which isn’t a euphemism for some kinky action so don’t think about playing pocket billiards).
The film, which co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Connie Nielsen, Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, Jean-Marc Barr, and Udo Kier, is broken up into eight chapters, across two films and this first clip is from Chapter One, ‘The Compleat Angler’, which introduces young Joe (played by Stacy Martin) and her friend “B” (Sophie Kennedy Clark) as they attempt their first erotic encounter. It could be bollocks, but being Von Trier expect plenty of ‘bollocks’ on show at the least.
NYMPHOMANIAC is still awaiting confirmed released dates for either film but it’s expected to receive hardcore and softcore versions for both. I’m not waiting that long so I’m sticking with Lolly Badcock. She’s always accommodating. Apparently.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
