The release of visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM, stomps ever closer with only a couple of weeks to go. The epic creature feature, that sees Earth fight back against a massive monster invasion via their own human-piloted towering robotic machines, is one of the movie events of the year. What we’ve seen thus far suggests a smashing smackdown sure to drop jaws and our very own Paul Heath was recently treated to a special screening of a number of super scenes and you can read his thoughts HERE.
In the meantime, check out this special edition animated retro-like IMAX poster designed by acclaimed artist Sergio Grisanti.
The epic sci-fi thriller stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Brad William Henke, Diego Klattenhoff, and smashes into cinemas from 12th July!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
