With the recent confirmation from Shailene Woodley that she’ll no longer be appearing in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, believing her scenes will be kept for the third instalment, Marc Webb later released a statement giving his reasons. However, due to Woodley’s hectic schedule, it became increasingly prominent that Sony and Columbia Pictures were looking at recasting the part of the redheaded future love-interest so not to disrupt their plans for the already announced dates for sequels THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 and 4.
Canadian actress Sarah Gadon, best known for her work in David Cronenberg duo A DANGEROUS METHOD and COSMOPOLIS, is now confirmed to be taking over the role from Woodley. It’s expected she’ll make her a appearance in the third film in series set to shoot late next year for a release on the 10th June 2016.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
