Here’s the first full length trailer for Paramount’s comedy sequel ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES. It’s been 9 years since the release of the first ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY, but it looks as though the cast have easily slipped back into their roles. The film will focus on Ron (Will Ferrell) and the guys from the Channel 6 News Team, finding their ways through a dark period of time known as the 80s. James Marsden appears as a younger and more handsome newsreader, and interestingly enough although Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) is seen in a couple of shots, it appears that Ron is out on the dating scene. Which leads to some racial faux pas. There are enough successful jokes here to suggest that the laughs will keep on coming, but only time will tell if one of the most quotable films of all time has a film it can call “brother”.
ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES is released on 20th December. It stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Christina Applegate, James Marsden, and Harrison Ford.
