It’s been four years since the release of John Lennon Biopic NOWHERE BOY, and this film has absolutely nothing to do with that one. NOWHERE GIRL comes from writer/director Jed Rigney, in what will be his first feature length motion picture. Rigney has previously worked on documentaries, shorts, and TV series, but NOWHERE GIRL will be his leap into the world of lengthy narrative film making. The poster’s use of striking blues and greens certainly stands out, but with a simple plot description involving a broken-hearted guy meeting a girl that turns his life around, we’ll be waiting for a trailer to get a real sense of the movie’s tone. After all, that tagline sounds like it could take a darker angle.
NOWHERE GIRL’s post-production was funded using Kickstarter and raised over $17,000 out of a requested $12,000.
NOWHERE GIRL is yet to receive a release date. It stars Josh Robert Thompson, Jennifer Aspen, Ilana Guralnik, and David O’Donnell.
