Back In The Game As New ‘Red 2’ TV Spots Surface!

GALAXY QUEST’s Dean Parisot, whose must recently has been at the helm of some of the best episodes of TV’s JUSTIFIED, takes over the reigns for all-star action-comedy sequel RED 2. Former CIA operative Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) is again unable to rest when MI6 greenlights his assassination, with his ex-colleague Victoria (Helen Mirren) hired to pull the trigger.

The film also sees the return of John Malkovich and Mary-Louise Parker, alongside newcomers Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, and Anthony Hopkins. RED 2 hits US cinemas from 19th July and the UK on the 2nd August. The studio are said to be so impressed with the film that RED 3 is already in the works.

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
