Jason Statham Seeks Helps In New Clip For ‘Hummingbird’

Jason+Statham

Although making his debut in LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS, Mr Jason Statham quite literally hasn’t working since SNATCH in 2000, that’s 13 years of movies and he’s just hit 40 titles, pretty darn impressive really. It’s simple to notice that he’s a man who knows his genre and has been making the most, but with a growing respect.

For me, it was THE TRANSPORTER in 2002 that really made people notice the Brit, and by the time he hit CRANK 4-years later well, a star was born and I haven’t even mentioned FAST & FURIOUS possibilities. Now we’ve got you another clip from a change in pace, but not in action we feel, for the Stath and it is all in the form of HUMMINGBIRD.

Here, he plays an ex-military man on the run who finds himself redemption by becoming an avenging angel. Check out the brand new clip here, which is surely early on in proceedings:

HUMMINGBIRD is released in the UK on 28th June. It co-stars Vicky McClure, Benedict Wong, Siobhan Hewlett, Christian Brassington and Ian Pirie.

    Thanks for the clip, Dan.

“The Transporter” was also the film that made us notice Jason Statham for the first time. Before that, we weren’t really into action films but he absolutely makes them worth watching. Knowing that he does most of his stunts himself adds an enormous authenticity to each of his roles and he can also act. Many people say that all of his films/roles are the same but they obviously haven’t watched his amazing performances in brilliant Indie films like “The Bank Job,” “London,” “Revolver,” and “Blitz” in which he really shines.

We are SO excited about “Hummingbird” because he really gets to show his emotions on screen again. And that’s proof enough that he is a wonderful actor.
