Comic-book fans couldn’t ask for much more then the bringing together of the epic cast of 20th Century Fox’s mutant filled original trilogy, with that of the Matthew Vaughn-directed 1960s-set prequel. Making it so is the 1981 fan-favourite, Chris Claremont and John Byrne-created comic-book arc ‘Days Of Future Past’, which will see an alternate dystopian universe become intwined with the past and present, when an event triggered by Kitty Pryde makes the evolutionary heroes (and villains) a hunted race.
Another impressive bunch of set stills have surfaced showing Nicholas Hoult’s furrier blue Beast tangling with Michael Fassbender’s conflicted metal-headed Magneto. You can find a whole lot more over at Fan-Girl.org.
Bryan Singer is back behind the camera of the franchise for the first time since the excellent X2. X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will also include Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, with newcomers Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Omar Sy and Evan Peters.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
