Is there anything this girl can’t do? Fresh off the success of SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK – a role for which she won the Academy and Golden Globe award for best actress – she has decided conquering the acting world isn’t enough. Lawrence has announced she is set to produce, and star in, an adaption of RULES OF INHERITANCE; a memoir of Claire Bidwell Smith.
The project will be keeping those Jennifer has previously worked with close at hand; SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK producer Bruce Cohen is on board so Jennifer will be in safe hands on that front. Also climbing on board to work with the star again is SERENA director Susanne Bier. SERENA, due out later this year, reunites Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in a Depression-era family drama.
Bidwell’s coming-of-age memoir has been praised for it’s heartbreaking yet exhilarating story;
Claire Bidwell Smith is an only child who, over a 7-year period as a young adult loses both her parents to cancer. While struggling to cope, she propels herself into many romances, adventures and travels in an inspirational, emotionally charged and surprisingly humorous journey that celebrates life, the people we love and lose and the discoveries we make along the way.
We here at THN couldn’t think of a better actress for the role and are hoping Lawrence’s producing talents shine just as brightly as acting ones!
