Fantastic Foreboding Poster From Kimberly Peirce’s ‘Carrie’ Remake

The latest international poster has surfaced from Screen Gems forthcoming modern-day remake of Stephen King’s classic horror tale, CARRIE.

The film is directed by BOYS DON’T CRY’s Kimberly Peirce, who’ll give a contemporary spin on Brian De Palma’s iconic 1976 effort. We follow the tortured telekinetic teen, played by the always superb Chloe Grace Moretz, whose struggling to juggle her studies, a hormonal changing body, her devoutly (and disturbed) religious mother, all while being the target on the high-school bullies. However, the prank that goes too far on Prom Night will see all those laughing along wish they’d stayed at home.

CARRIE hits US cinemas from the 18th October and the UK 29th November. Alongside Moretz in the title role, the film stars Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, Ansel Elgort and Julianne Moore.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
