While the recent London premiere of action/horror hybrid WORLD WAR Z may have been unfairly eclipsed by the brave appearance of partner Angelina Jolie, there is still plenty of anticipation for Brad Pitt’s sweeping apocalyptic adventure.
The film is directed by Marc Forster and is based on the acclaimed same-titled novel by Max Brooks, with Pitt taking the lead (and producing) as Gerry Lane, a UN representative forced to confront the escalating pandemic that has seen the world population turning into the ravenous undead. He’s on a mission to travel the globe in an attempt to find the answers and the origin to this virus and the hopefully clues to a possible cure.
WORLD WAR Z is receiving mixed reviews and we’ll have our own posted on the site in the next day or two. Meanwhile, check out this brand extended viral trailer for the big-budget film set for cinemas 21st June and co-starring David Morse, Matthew Fox, Mireille Enos and David Andrews.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
