Legendary Pictures have been so impressed with visionary director Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM that it was recently confirmed the studio has set him, and co-writer Travis Beacham, to pen a sequel. One thing is for sure, PACIFIC RIM looks astonishing and is epic in scale in the story of mankind’s fight back against the Japense-inspired towering creatures unleashed via a underwater earthquake, with massive mechanical monsters of our own!
PACIFIC RIM stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, Max Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Diego Klattenhoff, and Brad William Henke. It will arrive in cinemas on the 12th July.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
