These first set pics of Birdman show former BATMAN Michael Keaton being stalked by a superhero that wont be appearing in THE AVENGERS or JUSTICE LEAGUE anytime soon. 21 GRAMS, AMORES PERROS, and BABEL director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s latest offering sees Michael Keaton as an actor once famed for his portrayal of a famous superhero (sound familiar?). Keaton’s actor sets about staging a play based on a poem by Raymond Chandler, but can he shake off the shadow of his prior work?
It’s about damn time that Keaton got back into a leading role. With a scene-stealing part in THE OTHER GUYS and a role in the upcoming ROBOCOP reboot, he is gradually getting back out there. With a director such as Inarritu, there’ s no limit to what Keaton could bring to the table in this exciting offering.
The pictures below show a rather impressively suited hero following Keaton around, and Keaton taking flight. I would assume these are both figments of Keaton’s imagination rather than actual goings on. For more pictures, check out The Daily Mail’s website.
BIRDMAN is set for release in 2014 and stars Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, and Zach Galifianakis.
