In tonight’s ‘odd but we love it‘ casting news, it’s been revealed that Dev Patel, Robert Sheehan and Zoe Kravitz will be joining a new dramedy titled THE ROAD WITHIN.
The film will see Sheehan as Vincent, a young man with Tourette’s. When his mother dies, he’s left in the care of his politician father who leaves him in a care home when he goes on the campaign trail. Vincent then breaks out with an anorexic woman (Kravitz) and his OCD roommate (Dev Patel) and they go on a road trip to scatter his Mother’s ashes into the ocean.
The film will be directed by Gren Wells, better known for writing A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN, and is adapted from the 2010 German film VINCENT WILL MEER. The film was a great success in Germany, becoming the fourth most successful film in Germany in 2010.
