Behind-The-Scenes Of ‘White House Down’ & ‘The Lone Ranger’

We’ve two behind-the-scenes featurettes from Sony Pictures’ actioner WHITE HOUSE DOWN and Disney’s western reboot, THE LONE RANGER.

WHITE HOUSE DOWN sees the master of mayhem (and poor character development), Roland Emmerich, direct another adventure of chaos as Channing Tatum’s off-duty cop is forced into action when a routine tour at the iconic Presidential home of Jamie Foxx turns into a rescue mission, following terrorist invaders. Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Joey King, Jake Weber, Lance Reddick, and Jason Clarke co-star in the film opening in the US June 28th and the UK 6th September.

Next up is another look at Walt Disney’s expensive re-imagining of the western hero John Reid, aka THE LONE RANGER as Armie Hammer’s titular masked lawman hops on his horse Silver, alongside his Native American sidekick Tonto (Johnny Depp), to deliver justice in the Old Wild West. Gore Verbinski reunites with his PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN lead in the fun-looking film set for cinemas US from the 3rd July and the UK 9th August. Tom Wilkinson, Helena Bonham Carter, Barry Pepper and James Badge Dale co-star.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
