Earlier on this very evening, I posted an article linking to a couple of different sources claiming that DRIVE helmer Nicolas Winding Refn could be, a long with Christopher Nolan and many others, in the frame for the next James Bond movie. Now, just a few hours later, it looks like SKYFALL director Sam Mendes could be coming back to wield the megaphone for the 24th 007 film, with producers ready to wait for him to complete his theatre commitments.
Deadline scored the scoop.
Mendes is currently overlooking a summer opening for new musical CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, followed by a West End production of King Lear, but the word is that he is once again talking to producers about a potential follow-up to SKYFALL, which took over $1 billion across the globe last year.
Exciting.
