First Look At Artwork From ‘Curse Of Chucky’

Fans of the Don Mancini-created devilish doll franchise centred on ‘Good Guy’, Chucky (aka the soul of occult killer Charles Lee Ray) will be eager to see the first artwork for the latest instalment, CURSE OF CHUCKY. The film marks the cherub-looking psycho’s return for the first time since 2004s SEED OF CHUCKY, and once again features the unmistakable gravelly tones of the great Brad Dourif. The fifth sequel in the CHILD’S PLAY series is led by Dourif’s real-life daughter Fiona and is expected to arrive this Halloween.

The plot synopsis goes as follows:

Nica is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their mother’s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nica’s plans for the future, Barb’s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (voiced again by Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorize the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesn’t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. He’s determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time he’s going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.

Check out this first look at the CD artwork for the film again written and directed by Mancini, and co-starring Brennan Elliott, Danielle Bisutti, Chantal Quesnelle and Maitland McConnell.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
