You may remember, way back in April, we reported on SCRUBS star Zach Braff launching his next film project via Kickstarter, already having made $1.4 million through fan donations. With production underway, news has surfaced that Braff will be accompanied on set by the ever-so lovely Anna Kendrick and Kate Hudson.
As well as writing and directing the film, Braff will star as Aidan, an actor struggling to find work to support his wife (Hudson) and child. The only way he manages to get through his boring day is by fantasizing about transforming into the Space-Knight he’s always felt he’s destined to be. Weird, right? Kendrick, who was brilliant in both 50/50 and PITCH PERFECT, will co-star as the nerdy love interest of Aidan’s brother, played by Josh Gad (LOVE AND OTHER DRUGS, jOBS).
This sounds a little ‘out there’, but I have faith in Zach. I loved GARDEN STATE and am a huge fan of SCRUBS, so I trust him to pull this off.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
