Who’s In Talks For J.J. Abrams ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’?

Jonathan Rhys Meyers to join Mortal Instruments cast?

The folks over at Latino Review, a respected and well-known source for breaking news and pretty much getting it spot on, are suggesting Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers is in final negotiations to lead director J.J. Abrams’ STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. The actor is best known for roles in BEND IN LIKE BECKHAM, FROM PARIS WITH LOVE and seductive period costume drama series THE TUDORS, but has previously worked with Abrams on action sequel MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III.

There is still no word on what role he’ll take but it’s expected he’ll join up with the returning trio of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in the space saga slated for summer 2015 from a screenplay from Oscar-winner Michael Arndt.

Craig is leading the charge as our north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

what I was thinking when I first saw the pic.

  • Matt King

Jacen Solo. He’s too old to play Ben, and he looks like an actor who has both the charm and intentions to be good had he not gone down the dark path of Darth Caedus

  • TheOneWhoFlocks

Great choice. Awesome actor in the Tudors.

  • Douglas Hamner

Jacen Solo…yup. He looks like a villain

  • Douglas Hamner

    Could be Jagged Fel also

  • Darth Danny

Jacen won’t exist in the new movies.
