No fan boys and girls, you’re not imagining it…Loki and Mycroft Holmes will be in a play together!
It was announced today that Tom Hiddleston and Mark Gatiss will have a stint at one of the West End’s smallest theatres, the Donmar Warehouse, in a reboot of Shakespeare’s CORIOLANUS. Hiddleston will be playing the title role, and in true Hiddles fashion, he is ever enthusiastic about it. He described the play as “a play of our time” and went on to say:
“The fate of Coriolanus dramatises the conflict in the heart of every public figure: the war between integrity and popularity; the difference between military action and politics; the debate between public responsibility and private freedom.”
The play is set to hit the Donmar Warehouse in December, but don’t worry if you can’t make it to London, it is expected to be seen worldwide in a cinema broadcast on January 30th as part of National Theatre Live.
