Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network has confirmed that the company will partner up with Univision on a number of forthcoming television projects. Fans of Rodriguez, or more specifically his brilliantly bonkers intense crime-thriller come violent vampire rampage FROM DUSK TIL DAWN (which he directed from a screenplay by frequent friend and collaborator Quentin Tarantino), will be happy to learn the Titty Twister will reopen for bloodsucking business!

The 1996 genre bending cult classic made a superstar of George Clooney, with the film being the actors first role following his exit from hit series ER. Tarantino too, gave his best ever performance in the film as Clooney’s sadist brother Richard. However, the films success saw two STV sequels fail to recapture the winning formula.

Are you excited at the prospect of a series based on the franchise? Do let us know!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
