We’re extremely excited for the release of conjuring crime-caper NOW YOU SEE ME, if only for its simple premise that also holds mass amounts of mystery. For a period of time, we were no longer captivated with magic or illusion after spoiler shows like BREAKING THE MAGICIANS CODE unleashed most of the secrets. While we were once left in wonder at the tricks of Paul Daniels or David Copperfield, we’re now left bewildered at how easily conned we were. Thanks to the majestic likes of Derren Brown and Dynamo (although the latter has as much stage presence as a sack of drowned kitties), it’s now cool to be left jaw-dropped once again.
So, with that, we’ve magic’ed up a new clip from the film directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Melanie Laurent, Morgan Freeman, Dave Franco and Mark Ruffalo. It’s released in the US from 31st May and the UK from 7th June.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
