Greg Mclean and John Jarratt both return for the sequel to 2005s unforgettably brutal fact-based survival thriller, WOLF CREEK. The controversial Australian shocker is now cemented as genre classic, which gelled the notorious case of the murdered Brit Peter Falconio with the crimes of serial-killer Ivan Milat, to tell one terrifying tale. McClean is back behind the camera and has brought Jarrett’s Mick Taylor, the seemingly-simple-minded chap who hides a sadistic secret, back for more barbaric behaviour.
Expect a ‘if it’s not broke don’t fix it’ approach to the beautiful surroundings of the Aussie outback as Ryan Corr, Shannon Ashlyn, Philipe Klaus co-star as another trio of backpackers lured to the middle of nowhere to be hunted but the crazed bushman.
Filming is almost complete but there is no word yet on any release dates. Still, check out this new poster from the film expected late 2013/early 2014

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
