The WEDDING CRASHERS duo of Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson will soon be seen together again in Shawn Levy’s fish-out-of-water comedy THE INTERNSHIP as a pair of slacker salesman forced to confront technology after losing their jobs. However, both have landed polar opposite projects as their next big-screen outings expected in 2014.
Wilson has joined the cast of Paul Thomas Anderson’s period crime-thriller, INHERENT VICE, based on Thomas Pynchon’s 2009 novel. He’ll appear opposite the already confirmed Joaquin Phoenix and Benicio del Toro. Shooting is expected to commence on the L.A.-set noir later this month.
Meanwhile, pal Vince Vaughn has come aboard crazy comedy DADDY’S HOME, the directorial debut of MEN IN BLACK 3 scribe Etan Cohen. The film is headlined by Will Ferrell as a radio executive whose lifestyle is called into question when his wife’s ex-husband (Vaughn) returns to the family fold, leading to a childish squabble between the duo.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
