The last few days has brought us a bunch of character posters promoting the stunning individuals set to realise Baz Luhrmann’s take on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterful tale of obsession and excess, with THE GREAT GATSBY. Last brought to the big-screen in 1974 with the Robert Redford-led classic, Luhrman’s upcoming adaptation has a stunning cast assembled to tell the story of unrequited love as told through the eyes of neighbour Nick Carraway.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Milligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke and Tobey Maguire, all take the pivotal roles from the legendary literary masterpiece and we have a further two character posters and all-new trailer for the film slated for US cinemas 10th May 2013, followed by the UK from 17th May.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
