We’re not ones to gloat but for a change we here in the UK are to set our eyes to stun a lot earlier than our friends across the Atlantic for J.J. Abrams sci-fi sequel STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS. The film will see the crew of the Starship Enterprise come up against one of their own in Federation spy-gone-rogue, John Harrison. His revenge-seeking villain promises payback on his former employers for a mysterious past transgression that he “cannot forgive”.
You can read our very own Emma Thrower’s review on the Paramount Pictures blockbuster but we also have a bunch of brand new stills from the film beaming into UK cinemas 9th May and the US 17th May.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS stars Chris Pine, Karl Urban, Benedict Cumberbatch, Simon Pegg, Bruce Greenwood, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, Zachary Quinto, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Zoe Saldana.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
