Only a couple of hours ago we dropped the new Japanese trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM, which also followed rather swiftly on the WonderCon footage and another poster double. The film centred on the obvious Japan-inspired classic creatures features as grotesque skyscraper-sized beasts rise from the seas as a result of an earthquake, leaving the mankind to fight back with their own huge mechanical monstrosities, which are each manned by human pilots.
PACIFIC RIM is released 12th July 2013. It stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman and Charlie Day. Check out this monstrous seemingly tiny and never-ending new banner which begs to be clicked on a couple of times to scan through the spectacle of carnage!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
