It must be really hard to advertise the sheer ginormity of upcoming robot vs. monster smash-em-up, PACIFIC RIM. But we’ll be damned if this poster doesn’t give it the old college try. This poster shows the Jaegers getting ready to go to battle in the ocean, which is where the beasts from another dimension, known as Kaiju, are coming from. The recent Wonder Con trailer showed how big these badboys can be, as a Jaeger went medieval on a monster by smashing him senseless with a big-ass ship. The film is directed by Guillermo Del Toro and is produced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. This wont be their only monster movie, as GODZILLA is scheduled for release next year.
PACIFIC RIM is released 12th July 2013. It stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day.
