It’s getting bigger, badder and more exciting. I am of course referring to the building hype surrounding Guillermo Del Toro’s latest effort PACIFIC RIM. The film will see giant robots known as Jaegers and piloted by humans, take on huge monsters known as Kaiju, in a post-apocalyptic future. This latest poster shows us the Jaeger known as Coyote Tango and the Japanese flag next to the name hints that this may be the robot piloted by Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi).
PACIFIC RIM is bound to be one of the best and biggest summer blockbusters of the year and it’s great to see an original idea getting a big budget and effects.
PACIFIC RIM is released 12th July 2013. It stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day.
