Previously, we bought you the first stylish poster for Jason Statham vigilante thriller, HUMMINGBIRD, with the Brit star teaming up with EASTERN PROMISES scribe Steven Knight, who’s making his directorial debut. The emotionally brutal film will be unlike most efforts starring the action hero, with a dark story centring on an ex-Special Forces soldier returning from Afghanistan, who comes home to discover he’s homeless and his pregnant girlfriend is soon murdered. Unhinged on the streets of London, he makes it his mission to wash away the scum of the city. We’re thinking TAXI DRIVER meets DEATH WISH.
HUMMINGBIRD is now released in the UK on the 28th June and co-stars Vicky McClure, Benedict Wong, Siobhan Hewlett, Christian Brassington and Ian Pirie. Check out the official trailer below:
