Chloe Grace Moretz Gets Bloody In ‘Carrie’ International Poster

While yet another remake of a horror masterpiece should have us rolling our eyes, the fact BOYS DON’T CRY’s acclaimed director Kimberley Peirce is behind the modern re-telling of the Stephen King’s best-seller, could prove a masterstroke.

Again, the story centres on teen outcast Carrie White (Chloe Grace Moretz) and her struggles to adapt to life in high-school as well as her developing body and hormones. Of course, not only does the new story follow her abuse at the hands of bullies and even her disturbing relationship with domineering and devoutly religious mother Margaret (Julianne Moore), but the realisation she has the supernatural gift telekinesis and those who dare make a mockery of her on prom night are in for a frightful surprise.

Check out the new international poster for CARRIE, which hits US cinemas from 18th October and the UK 29th November. Click on the links to the trailer and recent new stills, if you missed them.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
