Marvel Studios will see their intergalactic warrior THOR, return to the big screen in action-adventure THOR: THE DARK WORLD, when it arrives in theatres 8th November. Chris Hemsworth’s hammer-swinging superhero bravely battles to save Earth and his own world of Asgard from a deadly enemy known as the Dark Elves, led by the vengeful Malekith.
Here we have Olly Moss’ limited poster artwork, hired by Marvel to design a series of limited edition prints, which are given to the cast and crew of the blockbusting sequel. We previously featured a sneak peek at one of them last year, well before the film finished filming, but this is first official look at a number of the alternative design such as Anthony Hopkins’ Odin, Idris Elba’s Heimdal, Kat Dennings’ Darcy, Tom Hiddeston’s Loki and of course, the main man himself.
We also added this new still from the film co-starring Christopher Eccleston, Jamie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Rene Russo, Stellen Skarsgaard and Natalie Portman.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
