New new images have surfaced from acclaimed BOYS DON’T CRY director Kimberly Peirce’s modernised adaptation of the iconic Stephen King horror novel, CARRIE. Having previously been adapted into the terrific and terrifying teen-angst masterpiece by Brian DePalma in 1976, we’ll once again see poor Carrie White (portrayed by Chloe Grace Moretz) discover her new found gift following the abuse at home at the hands her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore) and those torturous high-school bullies. This time expect new technology to play its part in the story.
The film also stars Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Ansel Elgort, Alex Russell and Gabriella Wilde. It opens in the US on the 18th October and the UK from the 29th November.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
