Marc Webb’s sequel to last summer’s wall-crawling reboot is currently shooting. While we’ve had set images featuring the likes of Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacey, Shailene Woodley’s Mary Jane and Andrew Garfield as the friendly neighbourhood Spiderman and his alter-ego, Peter Parker, we’ve had very little from the villains, being played by Jamie Fox (Electro), Paul Giamatti (Rhino) and Chris Cooper (Norman Osborne).
We’re unsure haw much of a part each menace plays in the script (rumours suggest Cooper will only appear in the closing credits, setting up his role in the concluding part of the trilogy). However, these first images of Jamie Foxx’s Max Dillon confirm he’ll be centre stage as the web-slinger’s main threat.
THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2 will swing into cinemas from the 2nd May 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
