J.J. Abrams’ futuristic action-adventure STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, is just around the corner and sees the crew of the U. S. S. Enterprise called back home to find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organisation in the form of Benedict Cumberbatch’s revenge-seeking psycho. The villian, John Harrison (although we still Khan’t believe it) has a personal score to settle with Captain James T. Kirk which could impact on mankind!
Returnees Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, and Bruce Greenwood, repise their roles from the 2009 reboot, which also co-stars Peter Weller, Alice Eve and Noel Clarke.
The film will be released on 9th May in the UK, and a US date coming a week later on 17th May. Check out the final theatrical trailer and character poster.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
