Ron Howard’s 1970s F1 Biopic ‘Rush’ Races Online!

We finally have the first-look at the trailer for Ron Howard’s Formula One racing rivalry biopic, RUSH. The film features Chris Hemsworth as the iconic British racing driver James Hunt, and charts the true life sporting strife, both on and off the track, between F1 racing legends Hunt and German Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) during the season of 1976 which almost claimed the life of Lauda.

RUSH co-stars Olivia Wilde, Joséphine de La Baume, Natalie Dormer and Tom Wlaschiha. It arrives in the UK on the 13th September and the US a week later. Could it be a favourite for the Award Season? We think so!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
