DATES: THURSDAY 4TH – SUNDAY 7TH APRIL // 1PM – 9PM
LOCATION: 73 OXFORD STREET, LONDON W1D 2EP
Secret Cinema are proud to announce their 20th production, taking place between April 25th and June 9th in a secret London location. This outing is their most audacious journey to date; the prospective audience will become part of G.O.O.D., a global information company where they will dedicate their creative energy towards increased happiness and radical change. Fabien Riggall, Creative Director of Secret Cinema elaborates:
‘With Prometheus, the audience met at night to perform special training tasks; during The Shawshank Redemption 21,000 people were sent to prison: we see an audience looking to participate in ways that have not been seen before. A complete immersion into culture. It appears that they share our desire to create a more adventurous, romantic and truly social (offline) world’
G.O.O.D. Head of External Communications, Abigail Gnlarf adds:
‘Working alongside our existing staff, we hope to utilise Future Cinema’s unparalleled pioneering spirit to build worlds for live audiences, to further goals to create a world committed to imagination, adventure and change’
SECRET CINEMA and G.O.O.D. clarify that there is no truth in the rumours that Future Cinema has been influenced into forming this new partnership. The aims of G.O.O.D. are compatible with those of Secret Cinema and existing followers are asked not to refuse requests to do G.O.O.D.’s bidding. Secret Cinema 020 will serve as a platform for artists, musicians and freethinkers to join Secret Cinema 020 to help build the next production. Interested parties may contact [email protected]
Between 25th April and 9th June, film, art, philanthropy, laughter, music, optimism and bravery will join forces to produce random acts of goodwill, charity and creativity to bring about the next generation of entertainment, in a brand new approach to free time activity, satisfaction and happiness. This latest endeavour comes years after their first outing, Gus Van Sant’s Paranoid Park, which took place in London’s Shipwright Yard, beneath London Bridge where 400 people attended. The rapid audience growth confirms Secret Cinema in their projects and goals. All past productions can be found here and you can read THN’s coverage on Prometheus (click here) and The Shawshank Redemption (here).
