Pictures speak louder than words in this trailer for the independent Sam Rockwell starrer A SINGLE SHOT. The trailer is dominated by gritty and poetic visuals as well as a nerve-shredding string piece that sounds like squealing cats, forks on plates and fingernails on chalkboards. Based on an acclaimed novel by Matthew F. Jones, the film sees Sam Rockwell as John Moon, a man trying to get his estranged family back together, but also getting involved in a crime. The trailer is a powerful one, and this could very well be a modern BLOOD SIMPLE.
A SINGLE SHOT is about to play the Tribeca Film Destival starting on 26th April, but is yet to get a definite theatrical release. It stars Sam Rockwell, William H. Macy, Jeffrey Wright, Ted Levine, Melissa Leo, Jason Isaacs, and Kelly Reilly.
