Apparently, the success of the latest TOMB RAIDER video game has got Hollywood in a tizzy about the idea of a rebooted franchise. Looking at the game footage and stills, it seems that even Lara Croft isn’t beyond a grittier reimagining. GK Films acquired the film rights from Square Enix in 2011, and now MGM have gotten in on the action by signing a partnership deal with GK Films. The founder of GK Films, Graham King, is taking the lead in getting the adaptation off the ground and will be working closely with game developers Crystal Dynamics, as the film and latest game will complement each other.
Angelina Jolie took on the role of Lara Croft in LARA CROFT: TOMB RAIDER (2001) and LARA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE (2003). No word yet on any casting decisions, but what about Adrianne Palicki, who can currently be seen kicking some bottom in G.I. JOE: RETALIATION.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

I hope this will be better than the previous 2 movies. I know, it wouldn’t be hard, but still, it could be worse.
