Plus, their special guest for the Masterclass is Kristin Scott Thomas, the incredibly talented English-French actress, came to the attention of an international audience  in FOUR WEDDING AND A FUNERAL and received universal acclaim for her role in THE ENGLISH PATIENT, for which she received an Oscar nomination.

Her extensive acting repertoire is proof of her talent: from drama (THE HORSE WHISPERER) to comedy (FOUR WEDDING AND A FUNERAL), blockbusters (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE) and arthouse films (SARAH’S KEY). French directors can’t get enough of her – her style, her reserve, her air of mystery and her slight British accent – and give her the best roles, such as Juliette in I’VE LOVED YOU SO LONG. Most recently, she has taken centre stage for her performances in François Ozon’s latest film In the House, and in Old Times at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

6 GALA SCREENINGS will be showcased during the Rendez-vous including Claude Miller’s THERESE DESQUEYROUX, Régis Roinsard’s POPULAIRE, Rémi Bezançon’s ZARAFA, Joachim Lafosse’s OUR CHILDREN, Philippe Le Guay’s CYCLING WITH MOLIERE and Gilles Bourdos’ RENOIR.

Other highlights at this year’s festival include a MASTERCLASS with Kristin Scott Thomas hosted by Jonathan Romney on April 4 at 5:00pm at Ciné-Lumière and SCREENING FOR THE FAMILY of the beautifully hand-drawn animated film ZARAFA.
