A brand-new trailer for a film released tomorrow wreaks of desperation in my eyes, however, here’s the latest one for Stephanie Meyer adaptation, THE HOST.
The TWILIGHT author and the studio will be hoping for another ‘box-office phenomenon’ with the sci-fi thriller in which an unseen enemy threatens mankind by taking over the bodies and erasing the memories of human hosts. Melanie Stryder will risk everything to protect the people she cares most about, as she wrestles with her own parasitic organism, proving that love can conquer all in a dangerous new world (oh christ, really?).
Saoirse Ronan (finally an actress who can do more than just stare and look unhappy) takes the lead as the partially possessed Melanie following an alien invasion. Jake Abel and Max Irons are heartthrobs churning out the latest love triangle of Meyers, which is written and directed by IN TIME and GATTACA’s Andrew Niccol.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
