The prequel to one of my favourite Pixar efforts is soon to be released but so far none of the footage has convinced me to part with my cash. This new TV spot goes some way to bringing me round, but that’s mostly due to the use of the Andrew W.K. anthem Party Hard. There are still some clever gags, but will it pull on the heartstrings without the inclusion of the relationship between Boo and Sully? Granted it doesn’t have to, and hopefully we’ll have a really good comedy as well as an interesting story.
MONSTERS UNIVERSITY is released 21st June is the US and 12th July in the UK. It stars the vocal talents of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, and Steve Buscemi.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
