We’re still a full pregnancy term away from the release of Peter Jackson’s return to Middle-earth with his sequel to last years fantasy adventure, THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY. The hairy-footed hero, Bilbo Baggins, will continue his quest to help the dwarf warriors reclaim their treasure and home currently being resided over by fire-breathing dragon Smaug in THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG.
Martin Freeman will be back as the the reluctant daredevil alongside the likes of Ian McKellen, Hugo Weaving, James Nesbitt, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Ken Stott and here we have the first clip introduced by Jackson during the special preview event which took place last night. It sees Gandalf venture to dark place with fellow wizard Radagast The Brown, played by former Doctor Who, Sylvester McCoy.
THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG is released 13th December.
