Raphael Cast In ‘Ninja Turtles’

ALANRITCHSON.pdfJonathan Liebesman’s controversial Michael Bay produced interpretation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, now simply NINJA TURTLES, is gradually getting its cast together. The film has been met with much hostility after the decision to change the origin of the turtles, making them aliens instead of mutants.

We know that Megan Fox will be taking on the role of intrepid reporter April O’Neil, but what about the fearsome foursome? Well, we’re a quarter of the way there now, as it has been announced that Alan Ritchson (THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE) will supply vocal and motion capture duties for the cool but rude Raphael.

NINJA TURTLES could be one of the most horrible films of the next few years, or it may be a surprising franchise kickstarter. I certainly loved the original animated show and even 2007’s TMNT was pretty good, so there is potential here. As long as they include Vanilla Ice on the soundtrack, I think we’ll all be happy.

NINJA TURTLES is released 6th June 2014.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.

I loved the 1990 one, because it was the perfect time/age for me! I was even a member of the Fan Club.

    Awesome.

Raphael better be right, he was my favourite. :p
